Doctor Honea is a real professional when it comes to denistry..
When I moved to the Chelsea area, I was in need of a new dentist, as I was not interested in traveling 3 hours round trip to see one. Honea Dentistry was recommended by some of my wife's family members so I gave them a call. I initially scheduled an appointment, only to get to the location to be told I did not have an appointment. They were nice and worked me in since I was able to show them on my phone the day and time that I had called and set up the appointment. I went back a second time without any real issues or complaints.
Went to get tooth checked that I was having pain in, making the initial appointment was easy, but it stopped there. Once at appointment, x-rays were done and diagnosed I needed a root canal. Was told that they could not get me in until a week later and was sent to a endodontist up the street. I was charged for x-rays and a doctors visit and they diagnosed the wrong tooth and did nothing. At the endodontist, the affected area was found not to be the tooth that was diagnosed by this dentist. I was going to give them another chance for the crown but after submitting an online request and never received a call back after a week, I called to try to talk to a person. Receptionist was rude and said they could not get me in until late the following week. I explained making the online request and was told I must have done something wrong. I took my business elsewhere and was given a call two weeks after the online request and was asked if I wanted to schedule my appointment, I advised that I had went to another dentist and would not be wasting my time at this office any longer. I highly do not recommend this dentist, I have never took the time to write a review, but after this experience, a review was needed.
Overall, the staff have been pretty nice but I think they are a little pushy when it comes to selling services that I don't feel are really necessary; they make it seem like you don't have an option for some of their services at times.
